Ethics
At Coppins we strive to ensure all of our jewellery and gem stones are sourced from ethically sound and sustainable sources. To this end we ensure our Diamonds are mined through the Kimberly process which is a joint governments, industry and civil society initiative to stem the flow of conflict diamonds - rough diamonds used by rebel movements to finance wars against legitimate governments. The process imposes extensive requirements on its members to certify it’s shipments are conflict-free. Our coloured Gem suppliers travel the world and buy direct from mining companies who are committed to social and environmental objectives.
In the UK, the "No Dirty Gold" campaign raises awareness about the impact of gold mining and urges customers to ask jewellers to support mining industry reform. We expect our business partners to adhere to socially and environmentally responsible business practices. We take the impact of our company's supply chain seriously and we believe that gold should be extracted and processed in a manner that respects the needs of current and future generations.
